Overview

SigParser assigns the following fields to contacts:

  • Job Level (C-Level, Executive, Director, Manager, Contributor)

  • Job Department (Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal, and more)

Classifications are applied automatically based on job titles and supporting company context, ensuring consistent data across your account.

  1. Navigate to Contacts

  2. Open the Fields Menu

  3. Select the Job Level and Job Department fields

  4. Save

These fields can now be used for sorting, filtering, and exporting.

❓FAQ

Q: Why are Job Level or Job Department blank for some contacts?
Job Level and Job Department are only assigned when a contact has a job title. Job titles are typically generated from email signatures and may also be populated through job history enrichment. Contacts without a job title will remain unclassified until one is available.

Q: How long does classification take?
New or updated contacts are classified within seconds. Existing contacts are enriched as historical data is processed. You can expect it to be available for all contacts with job titles within a few days.

Q: Can classifications be edited manually?
Job Level and Job Department are managed by SigParser. You should avoid relying on manual changes to these fields as they will be updated automatically if SigParser detects changes to a contact's job information.

Q: What happens when a contact changes roles?
SigParser automatically updates Job Level and Job Department when a job title changes.
