Import emails from PST file email archives

SigParser can import emails from a PST file email archive generated by Outlook or Microsoft 365.

To import a PST file:

  • Click More in the main menu
  • Click PST Files
  • Click Upload PST File
  • Pick your file and click Upload File
  • Leave the browser window open until the upload completes.
  • SigParser will then estimate how many emails are in the file and send you an email with the estimated cost. You can then pay for the PST file.
  • SigParser will then ingest the contents of the PST file into your account.

Troubleshooting

Almost no contacts were found in a large PST file

This happens when you export a PST file but it doesn't contain all the header information. We see this from PST files exported from Microsoft 365. You need to make sure you include all the header information in the PST file when you do the export from Microsoft 365.

You can confirm the header information is there by opening the PST file in Outlook. When you click on an email and click on the recipients on the email do you see their email addresses or only their names. If you only see their names and can't see their email addresses then all the header information wasn't included.
