Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

The Map View visualizes where your relationships are located. Each pin represents a Contact or Company with a location derived from your SigParser data.

You can filter by relationship strength, engagement, company industry, or custom fields to uncover geographic insights.

Teams use Map View to:

  • 📍 Plan travel efficiently

  • 📊 Identify regional growth opportunities

  • 🎟️ Plan higher-performing regional events

  • 🎯 Run targeted, location-specific outreach

🗺️ Using the Map View

  • Go to the Contacts or Companies page in SigParser.

  • Select the Location field > select Search.

  • Move the map over the region you wish to isolate > Apply

  • Use additional filters to segment by:

    • Strongest Relationship

    • Company Industry (Financial Services, Manufacturing, Non-Profit)

    • Job Title (C-Level, Director, Engineer)

    • Custom fields (Client, Prospect, Event Invitees)

Use Cases

✈️ Upcoming Travel — “Who do we know nearby?”

If you’re traveling to a city (e.g., Orlando, Chicago, London), use Map View to instantly see:

  • Which Contacts are located there

  • Which warm relationships are nearby

  • Which prospects or former colleagues are close enough for a meeting

Perfect for planning:

  • In-person meetings

  • Client check-ins

  • Local drop-bys or introductions

🌱 Regional Business Expansion

If your company wants to grow in a region—such as Southern California, the Southeast, or the UK—you can filter Map View to answer:

  • “What Contacts do we already have in this region?”

  • “Which industries are most represented here?”

  • “Who do we know in accounting, finance, real estate, healthcare, etc.?”

This helps teams:

  • Prioritize regions with existing relationship density

  • Build region-specific BD plans

  • Activate warm introductions for market entry

🎟️ Better Regional Event Planning

Planning an event in a specific area? Map View shows who is located in that region so you can reach out to the right people.

  • Identify Invitees based on distance to the venue

  • Target the warmest and most relevant Contacts

  • Discover nearby companies and industries to include in outreach

Great for:

  • Client receptions

  • Local roundtables

  • Roadshows and regional tours

  • Lunch-and-learns or workshops

🎯 Account-Based Outreach by Geography

Combine Map View with filters (industry, job level, Custom Fields, job title) to enable hyper-local, higher-conversion outreach.

🧩 How Location Data Is Derived

SigParser automatically determines location data for Contacts and Companies using a combination of sources such as email signatures, enrichment data, phone number geography, and company details. When a precise address or city is found, SigParser uses it to place the record on the map.

You can also manually update locations at any time.

💡 Best Practices

  • Add the Location field to your Grid View:

    • Select the Column Picker ()or

    • right click on a Column header > Insert Field Left > select the Location Field

  • Use Custom Fields: import your unique data to help identify Clients, Prospects, Event Invitees, etc.

  • Use filters for context: combine Map View with classification filters (e.g., Clients, Prospects) to plan geographically relevant initiatives.

  • Review accuracy periodically: edit or confirm contact addresses if you notice inconsistencies.

  • Fill in the gaps: review and update missing details like Job Titles and Industry.

Tip: if missing, adding a Company Website can help SigParser identify missing Industry or location details.
